By Hydrofoil Back to Naples
Even humble boat trips from island to island can be a tremendous adventure - provided that you don't do this too often (my case).
This is my recollection of a hydrofoil boat "ride" from Procida island to Naples.
After having explored Procida a bit, I rushed back to the port to catch my boat back to Naples.
But it hasn't arrived for another more than 2 hours. It was frustrating long waiting in the port area. I couldn't allow myself to return to explore further, because missing the boat would have turned my schedule upside-down...
I turned the waiting time to my own advantage: contemplating the "elements" of the port and the area around. So, here's a number of photos that I've taken around Procida's port...
I love the look of that rust
Vehicles coming down from the ferry
Tiny Fiat - Italian "hardware"
A good look back to see what I was leaving behind
A slice of mushroom pizza at the port, just to calm my hunger until I get back to Naples...
Isola di Procida ("Island of Procida") arrived... it's a hydrofoil
Side view... a bit worn, scratched, battered even...
Naples - a nice view of the Bay of Naples
Vesuvius seen from Naples - I'll have to climb that one day!
Delicious simple, genuine Italian pizza in Naples
