My Escapes Portugal Another Lovely Trip to Portugal! Costa da Caparica Staying at Costa da Caparica My Final [...]

My Final Thoughts and Feelings About Costa da Caparica

September 11, 2014
[...]

After two days spent at Costa da Caparica, my mixed feelings included calm, I felt refreshed, but also exhausted following the long beach walks and I still had the regrets mentioned in my other articles...

Nevertheless, Costa da Caparica is a great retreat area for those living in Lisbon. If you happen to stay in Lisbon for a longer period of time, then do go out to this beach, it will relax you...

But it's a bit worn-down, there isn't much buzz around - so, for those of you who like more dynamism, this place is not ideal for you.

I myself did like it, but from among all Portuguese destinations I've been to (so far), Caparica was the least interesting.

I reckon, a full day would suffice. If I could go back in time, probably I'd stay a full day and the night after and I'd use the rest of my days to visit other parts of beautiful Portugal.

Eating out wasn't at all that exciting. It cannot be compared with the choices available in Lisbon.

In then end, I can pin it out on my map and I can say "I've been there too", I listened to the calming sound of the waves, I hiked on the sand dunes, plus - I even came across a fossil rock.

From Caparica I was off for Porto on the high-speed Alpha train via Lisbon's Oriente Station.
