My Escapes Spain Barcelona Exploring Gaudí's Sprawling Surreal Barcelona Eating and Drinking in Barcelona
Eating and Drinking in Barcelona
Besides the fantastic architecture, the art life and entertainment, Barcelona is also a great place for eating. Especially if you are willing to spend a lot.
Because it's a Mediterranean big port city - I suggest you go for the sea food, but you should not forget the tapas, bocadillos, the pinchos and because on the Iberian Peninsula paellas are probably the most wide-spread, don't leave without trying them out!
It's also a major hotspot for seafood... so, paellas, oysters, lobsters, octopuses and fish are abundant at restaurants.

Barcelona is also a great place for buying sweets. Specialized shops sell even home-made 100 % natural cookies and chocolates, jellies and candies, pastry products and the list could go on endlessly (sweet-lovers must be drooling right now!).

There were countless sweets-selling shops, chocolate stores...
And the cookies were sooooo magnetic...
