My Escapes Spain Valencia Frenetic Valencian Escape! Residència Erasmus Gràcia Hotel, Barcelona - Review
Residència Erasmus Gràcia Hotel, Barcelona - Review
I chose the Residència Erasmus Gràcia Hotel because of the relatively good location (metro station nearby), quite low cost and breakfast.
You can get in and out of the centre through the Lesseps metro station. Or, a bit further down you can find the other station, called Fontana.
The entrance was actually through a backstreet (quite dirty). On the street, I had to walk past filthy-smelling trash cans every day.
At first, you wouldn't think there's a hotel there.
I suppose it was converted from a students' dorm complex or some other building.
Nothing special about the looks.
Average... There were hairs on my pillow. I found it disgusting.
The room is clean, but I wouldn't call it "squeeky".
The entire hotel was very noisy. Noise coming through the walls, but especially through the door from the echoing corridor.
There were no carpets anywhere, the room was quite cold in mid-September.
The bed was quite comfy. In fact, I had two of them! So I could put my things on one bed.
They gave me a cable for internet connection (which was free). Lucky me, I had my own cable. Otherwise they would have charged me 1 euro.
The toilet wasn't flushing well, the soap wasn't enough.
Friendly young staff with good command of foreign languages - obviously student-run hotel.
Although, the cleaning lady didn't speak English at all. Anyway, I was able to communicate in Spanish.
For a budget hotel, it wasn't bad, but pretty basic.
The simplest juices, salami and cheese slices, coffe, cereals and bisquits made up the breakfast.
For a budget hotel, it's quite good.
But it's not the kind of place to go to with your family. It's a nest full of noisy youngsters.
Final overall score: 7,00
