The strangest attraction I've come across during my Alicante trip was this peculiar street aquarium.
Real, live fish living in a huge silver fish tank installed outdoors on plaza...

A modern silver building would make you think of a boutique or even a station (like a metro station or tram station building), but in reality, it's a huge fish tank.

Situated at Plaza Nueva, this is the most unusual attraction I've come across during this escape trip.

A few Mediterranean fish species are represented by the specimens swimming in their "luxury cage".

(Due to the lighting conditions, the thick greenish-blue glass of the aquarium and the reflections, it was impossible to take a good quality photo).

I really liked the Plaza Nueva. It is one of the most scenic quiet little plazas in Alicante. Of course, there are lots more...

The buildings around look great - if I ever wanted to rent out a flat in central Alicante, I'd target this place!
