Malaysia Vehicle Spotting

May 30, 2014
[...]

Although I've had better vehicle spotting times, this is still worth mentioning...
I took a few photos of interesting-looking vehicles in Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya.

Even if not all of these vehicles are specially beautiful or rare - I reckon to some of my readers at least some of the vehicles will look rather interesting...

For instance, this is a vintage orange motorcycle... at the entrance of a bar/restaurant in central Kuala Lumpur.

KL is a motorcyclist's paradise.

Especially scooters and light motorcycles, but also superbikes and choppers can be seen in abundance.

In some parts of the city, like in the old historic area, the bikers dangerously cut across the streets and they almost never respect traffic rules!

And this is how a typical taxi looks in Kuala Lumpur...
No, they're not all apple green,... some are orange, some are red, some are blue... This one is a bit more sour!

My personal favourite vehicle was the monorail!

It doesn't slide as smoothly as you would imagine it does.
Trips are a bit noisy and shaky - as I explain in this article.

The variety of bus designs has perplexed me. When I'll go back to Malaysia, I will take lots of photos of all sorts of buses.

People travel a lot by bus. Some of the buses are luxury coaches with all sorts of tunings and other improvements.

This was totally new to me - a vehicle that's considered a "trike", but is actually a mixture between a tricycle and a kart.
And it's totally human-powered.
