Calheta
About 12,000 people live in this municipality located in southwestern Madeira.
It's a popular tourist destination, which offers the possibility to swim in a partially protected area where there's light-coloured sand brought from Morocco.
So far, my only trip that brought me to Calheta was a guided bus tour taken in September, 2008.
As "Escape Hunter" - the curious incognito traveler with an insatiable drive to explore, I embark on slow and deep travels around
