My Escapes Singapore Return to "Lion City" This is How Singaporean Cats Look Like!

This is How Singaporean Cats Look Like!

May 30, 2014
[...]

I had a several encounters with charming Singaporean cats... No! I don't mean the stewardesses at Singapore Airlines, but the real felines...
Cute cats running around here and there on the streets.

In the Mountbatten residential area I encountered several cats that had their tails shortened (cut). I always feel deeply sorry for these animals.

The poor fellows had a bump-like running pattern and they seemed terrified of just about any stranger...

I hope someone bans cat tail cutting too!

Among the many cats that I saw, was this slightly cheetah-looking (rather by shape, not by fur) cat. He (or she?) was motionless, sitting on top of a car...

I always pay attention to house pets, especially dogs and cats during my trip...

But this doesn't mean I got cat spotting and dog spotting... still, I find it amazing how different house pets can be from one country to the other...

Curious cat

He finally looked at me...

Another weird encounter was with this other little guy... or lady?

Cute kitty with a strange temperament, "meow"-ing constantly, pressuring me, climbing on my lap...

I was trying to take a rest in the Outram Park area, so I sat down on a bench.

This kitty with bat ears kept pushing me (probably to grab him/her), but I kept switching benches...

I got up and sat down on the other bench and he came complaining after me and climbed me.

We did this back and forth probably 7-8 times. No kidding, he was insisting constantly, but I didn't want to grab the cat, I was actually preparing to have a brunch.
