My Escapes Spain Costa Blanca Summer Heat Where is the Costa Blanca?

Where is the Costa Blanca?

January 11, 2015
[...]

The Costa Blanca is a revered beach travel destination in Spain.
You might have heard of it a bunch of times or, you might be confusing it with others - like the Costa Brava, Costa Calida, Costa del Sol...
But, where's the famous Costa Blanca exactly?

"Costa this", "Costa that", Spain has a collection of revered beach destinations and the Costa Blanca is just one of them.

Of course you could theoretically hit a search engine and find the geographical location. But that would be too stale, too dry...

Literally, the "White Coast" is a coastline of roughly 200 km (120 mi) in the Levant - eastern Mediterranean Spain, found entirely in the Alicante province.

But more exactly...

The Costa Blanca stretches from the town of Dénia down south to tiny town of Pilar de Horadada, south of Alicante.

One of Spain's most beautiful coastal areas:

Among the best destinations (and most popular places to visit) in the Costa Blanca area are: Dénia, Calpe, Altea, Benidorm, Villajoyosa, Alicante.

You might also want to see my article in which I give the main reasons to visit the Costa Blanca. And it's not mere formality, I've found this coastline enthralling.

I explored and thoroughly visited Alicante and Benidorm - so, check out those trip guides to see more, to understand deeper what they're really about.

Particularly scenic are the places of Villajoyosa, Dénia, Calpe, Altea. Perhaps I'll pay a visit to them and report on those places as well.
